Ranks Assigned to combat units

Hi,

In our unit we have 3 branches, most of them use our normal rank structure, however, we have an Air Cav Division which have different ranks setup. One problem we have come across is the fact that when we have a PFC who is showing as ready to promote it will show the CW2 rank as their next rank and not SPC rank, this is due to the fact SPC and CW2 require the same amount of promotion points. We had a think and are wondering if its possible to integrate a feature where the ranks are assigned to a combat unit? So when the soldier is ready to promote it looks at the combat unit they are in and the ranks that apply to that combat unit instead of the rank list as a whole.

Is something like this possible?

Thanks!

Try ordering your ranks around. The system will look for the next rank above it, based on order as well. If you can order them in groups by branch, this should work as well. One additional way to help with this issue will be to categorize ranks, similiar to awards. Assigning a rank to a combat unit seems a little too specific! I will probably implement this approach in a future release!

We did give re ordering a try, but couldn't figure a way to get it to recognise the next rank for that division. However, I didn't realise it looked at the rank above. I shall have a play around. Thanks for the help.
