Staff Roster

Would it be possible to have a staff roster generated with the personnel assigned to each shop? It could be sorted in the navigation menu under PERSCOM as Staff Files to be uniformed. It would only need to mirror the Personnel Files but instead sort and list by S Shop and job. Ex S-1 Personnel Officer. IPB has a staff directory but it would be nice to link to the PERSCOM file not forum one.

I know PERSCOM is used by groups without a strictly military setting but I'm sure each group would have a need for a staff roster.

This is a feature I would second. So essentially you would have a combat roster and an administrative roster with taps or something that would allow you to switch between viewing either or. 7Cav has enabled a version of this using Xenforo and the roster plugin they use. They actually have a few different custom rosters: https://7cav.us/rosters/. Maybe adding in the ability to construct custom rosters in addition to this would be a good idea? Take a look at what the 7th Cav has.

Great suggestion. I like this idea and will get it implemented as soon as possible!

Rosters can be enabled and disabled to show as well as have permissions set on them to decide who can see the roster - so you can have private rosters if you want. Both admin and combat units can be assigned to more than one roster. However a soldier can only be assigned one combat unit but multiple admin units. The structure is:

Personnel Files

— Roster

—— Combat Unit

——— Soldier.

A soldier is assigned a combat unit. Combat units are assigned a roster. And the rosters are assigned to the personnel files.

Combat units sort by rank. I’ll have to figure out how to sort administrative units though. Didn’t think about that!

Yes, I have chosen to sort by the admin unit position. I will attempt to release this weekend - still stop extensive testing needs to be done. Also, this will be our major release where IonCube is required on the hosting server so we want to make sure we are ready to handle the support requests as I am sure they will poor in.
